Storyteller

Hi, I'm Caroline
I like to tell stories
From stage to screen to sound waves, capturing life through storytelling is my greatest passion. Please take the time to explore this website and learn more about me. Here you'll find my audio production portfolio, writing examples, and some silly musings in my blog!
A Little About Me.
Ever since I could talk, I've been telling stories. Storytelling has driven my life and been the main influence on all the many paths I have taken; from my first theater role way back in kindergarten, to writing and directing my own films in the Ballard High School Film Program, to igniting laughter with my words in the ETC theater at The Second City, and now to Los Angeles where I'm pursuing a career in television. My dream is to reach a wide audience through TV, telling my stories and inspiring laughter and joy in the lives of millions. I know my stories aren't for everyone, but I dream they could be accessible to anyone.
Education and Experience
2019-2023
BA in Comedy Writing
Columbia College Chicago
My four years at Columbia laid the foundation for my professional journey. The selective programs I participated in, Comedy Studies Semester at the Second City and Semester in LA, narrowed my studies and allowed me to dedicate myself fully to my creative passions.
2023 - Present
Nanny
Private Family
In my time as a nanny, I've been able to incorporate my creative passions in new ways by intertwining my love of storytelling with my job responsibilities. These responsibilities include facilitating developmental milestones through creative education and caretaking, integrating STEM and ECE practices into play, promoting communication and creativity, and managing cooking, field trips, playdates, and household maintenance during a 50-hour workweek.
2022-2023
Podcast Host/Producer
WCRX FM
At Columbia I was given the opportunity to work with the college's radio station to produce my own podcast, giving me the platform to share my own as well as others' stories. On my podcast, "I Could Go On", I was a one-woman team, I produced and hosted weekly interviews on diverse topics, delivering timely half-hour episodes. I utilized ProTools and Adobe Audition for high-quality audio production, designed and maintained the show's website, aligning with branding and content themes, and I expanded audience reach to 1.8K listeners through strategic web tools and social media promotion.
